Silicon Valley A.W.A.K.E. Sleep Support (Mountain View)
A.W.A.K.E. (Alert, Well and Keeping Energetic) is a mutual help group for people with sleep disordered breathing and their families. The group functions as a forum for exchanging information and increasing awareness of sleep, sleep disorders and related health concerns. The monthly meetings are held the first Tuesday of the month (this meeting day change effective starting with February 2013 meeting) and are led by a volunteer coordinator and attended by at least one staff member from the Palo Alto Medical Foundation's Sleep Center. Monthly meetings provide education, social interaction and sharing plus an opportunity to learn about current research and developments in sleep disorders, treatment and equipment. The AWAKE group is open to the community.

March meeting: Acupuncture and Alternative Medicine approaches to Sleep Challenges with Natalie Miner, LaC, CMT, MS
April meeting: Beyond Counting Sheep: What Keeps You Awake and Puts You to Sleep? with Dr. Jennifer Potter, N.D.
May meeting: ADHD with speaker Dr. Sarah Cheyette
June meeting: Mindful Eating and Sleeping with speaker Patty McLucas.
