Infant & Child CPR, First Aid and AED Training
The goal of this program is to reduce the number of childhood deaths caused by breathing and/or cardiovascular problems. Parents & caregivers are taught emergency measures to clear the airway and perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on infants and children. The course includes lecture, demonstration & return demonstration. Participants will perform mouth-to-mouth breathing on manikins. *Please be aware that clothing can be ruined with bleach.
At the end of the class, you should have knowledge of the following:
Dealing with children of different ages and child safety
First aid basics
Medical emergencies
Injury emergencies
Environmental emergencies
Adult/Child choking
Infant CPR
Infant choking
Introduction to Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs)
The emergency call
