Classes and Education

This condensed three week series is offered for expectant parents whose schedules don't allow for the classic twelve hour class. Our certified and experienced childbirth educators will help you prepare for the physical and emotional challenges of childbirth.

Topics include:
Labor and delivery
Stages of labor: timing, contractions, when to go to hospital
Coping with labor: breathing techniques, positions, comfort measures, support
Hospital policies, medical procedures and birth options
Medications and anesthesia

A supplemental Skills class is available monthly at no cost for couples enrolled in this series who would like additional time to practice labor support techniques and comfort strategies.
