Healthy Eating. Active Lifestyles - 7 Sessions (Santa Cruz)
Are you or your doctor worried about your child being overweight? Our seven-week, comprehensive "Healthy eating. Active lifestyles." program is for parents of children ages 2 to 12 years old. We will help you implement changes so your child can get back on track and eat healthfully, be active, and grow up to have the body that is right for him or her. By focusing on the whole child-not just his or her weight-the program provides practical, problem solving techniques for creating a positive feeding and activity environment for your child and dealing with behavioral issues. The program includes an individual pre-assessment prior to enrolling, and a post-program individual visit with the dietitian.
This program will help parent(s) to:
- Create positive feeding and eating during meal times and snacks
- Creative solutions to encourage regular physical activity
- Identify and foster healthy habits
- Implement positive parenting techniques to support your child towards optimum health
- Overall improve your family's relationship through family meals and interactive activities
At the completion of the program, follow up support sessions will be available. The first meeting is a free introductory session. $200 for the full program - 7 group sessions plus an individual visit with a registered dietitian at the end of the program; $30 - personal assessment from a registered dietitian (required) *Class fee can be reduced from $200 to $140 by applying PAMF's 30% Prompt Pay Discount
