    Silicon Valley A.W.A.K.E. Sleep Support (Mountain View)

    A.W.A.K.E. (Alert, Well and Keeping Energetic) is a mutual help group for people with sleep disordered breathing and their families. The group functions as a forum for exchanging information and increasing awareness of sleep, sleep disorders and related health concerns.

    The monthly meetings are held the first Tuesday of the month and are led by a volunteer coordinator and attended by at least one staff member from the Palo Alto Medical Foundation's Sleep Center.

    Monthly meetings provide education, social interaction and sharing plus an opportunity to learn about current research and developments in sleep disorders, treatment and equipment. The AWAKE group is free and open to the community.

    2015 Meeting Calendar

    September 1

    "Sleep Related Breathing Disorders - Update in Management of Central Apnea" by Dr. Priscilla Sarinas.

    Dr Sarinas will review the subtypes of sleep related breathing disorders first and then talk about the causes and the treatment of central apneas.

    Laurie Moellering, Territory Manager for ResMed, will also present updates on the newest products at ResMed after Dr. Sarinas's talk.

    A Q&A session will follow her presentation.
