    Prenatal Yoga 6 Week Series

    Prenatal Yoga classes are designed to help pregnant women connect with their developing baby, to increase comfort and fluidity in their rapidly changing body, and to alleviate common discomforts of pregnancy such as back pain, sciatica, swelling, anxiety and fatigue. Prenatal yoga classes complement birth education courses in assisting women in preparing for and meeting the physical and emotional demands of childbirth and motherhood. Each 90-minute class includes: meditation and visualization, breath practice, discussion and yoga poses. Combined, these elements safely stretch and strengthen the body and mind in preparation for labor and birth. Each class is tailored to meet the unique needs of all participants. The class is open to pregnant women with a doctor's written approval. While we encourage partners to attend most classes, the Prenatal Yoga class is designed specifically for mothers-to-be. Classes occur on six consecutive Mondays except for times when the schedule conflicts with a holiday. THE 2014 SIX WEEK SERIES START DATES ARE AS FOLLOWS: JAN 6th, MARCH 3rd, APRIL 228th, JUNE 16th, JULY 28th, SEPTEMBER 15th and NOVEMBER 3rd.
