Silicon Valley A.W.A.K.E. Sleep Support (Mountain View)

A.W.A.K.E. (Alert, Well and Keeping Energetic) is a mutual help group for people with sleep disordered breathing and their families. The group functions as a forum for exchanging information and increasing awareness of sleep, sleep disorders and related health concerns.

The monthly meetings are held the first Tuesday of the month and are led by a volunteer coordinator and attended by at least one staff member from the Palo Alto Medical Foundation's Sleep Center.

Monthly meetings provide education, social interaction and sharing plus an opportunity to learn about current research and developments in sleep disorders, treatment and equipment. The AWAKE group is free and open to the community.

    2017 Meeting Calendar

TUESDAY, August 1, 2017,is "A new option for the Treatment of OSA" by Chad Cruz of Inspire Medical Systems.

If you or someone you love is struggling with CPAP, there is another option available that doesn't involve a mask or hose. Its called Inspire therapy, and it works inside your body with your natural breathing patterns to treat sleep apnea. Simply turn Inspire therapy on before you go to bed and off when you wake up. No mask, no hose, no noise. Mr. Cruz will introduce this Inspire Therapy to us.

A Q&A session will follow the presentation.
