    Question

Dear expert, I'm quite worried with my body's situation now. My weight is currently at obesity level and I'm considered short for my age. I have a height of 156 cm and a weight of 50kg. I do not look fat though and I play sports very often. My daily diet is very healthy and I eat minimal every day. Can you tell me what foods that promote height growth without making me fatter?

    Answer

Weight is always a tough thing at your age. It's hard for me to tell exactly what weight you should be because it depends on your build and some on genetics.

The more important thing at this point is - are you at a healthy weight for your age and are you healthy in general?? You may lose some weight as you get older and continue to grow taller. Trying to diet or lose weight too quickly, too early can result in actually slowing your growth, and you may not reach your full potential! If you have concerns about your weight, talk to your doctor. He or she will know best what is a healthy weight for you!
