    Question

I'm 17 1/2 years old. My dad is 5' 11" and my mum is 5' 2". I am only 5' 4", and am getting concerned as I haven't grown much. I do weightlifting as a form of keeping fit. Will this in any way limit growth?

    Answer

    Hi,

There should be no connection between weightlifting and height. Our height is usually determined by a combination of our parents' heights. The children tend to be a little taller. Also your final height cannot be known until you are about 21-22 yrs. of age.

Let me know if you have any other questions about this.
