    Question

The week that a person is taking the inactive pill how possible is it to become pregnant? also if you change prescription is it possible to become pregnantduring the first week of the new prescription?

    Answer

The pill, when taken properly, protects you from pregnancy all the time, even during the inactive pills so you're no more likely to become pregnant then than when you are taking the active ones. If you're changing prescriptions ask your doctor about whether you should use a back up method of contraception during the transition. Also it's always a good idea to use condoms in addition to the pill - in order to prevent sexually transmitted infections, including HIV.
