Question
How long before you can take out a belly button piercing and how long after you take it out will the hole close?

Answer
You can remove a stud or earring anytime you want. The time until and if it heals completely is not readily predictable. If it hasn't healed by 6 wks, it may not heal on its own and you may need a surgeon to sew the hole closed neatly.
