    Question

Hi, I have had bacteria vaginosis on and off and have been treated for it. It seems to come back no matter what I do. Is it possible for a male to spread B.V. -- like a sexually transmitted disease? And are there home remedies for this type of situation?

    Answer

The 1st time bacterial vaginosis is found a in a woman, only she is usually treated. If bacterial vaginosis occurs more than once, then both the woman and man should be treated simultaneously and should use condoms until both have completed their treatment.
