Question
Answer
Pregnancy, particularly in young women who are having intercourse with young men can occur ANYTIME. Women will get pregnant when they are having their periods. They will get pregnant and then bleed some. Young women (having sex with young men) are incredibly fertile. This is why the Rhythm method does not work.
Now all the other information that you have acquired is theoretically true. Most people ovulate about 2 weeks before there period. Most people don't bleed if they are pregnant.
In this particular case I think you are wondering if she got pregnant on Sept 25. That is possible. But if she was on the Patch and it failed she may have ovulated right when she was having sex with you. And she might have had a little spotting and hoped that was her period. It's hard to know. Paternity testing can't be done until after the baby is born--but is accurate.
Good Luck.
