    Question

I want to refer to me as going by the name of KETTLE I want to know if there is anything I can do to help myself. I have had a few suicide attempts, and I have almost succeeded in a few of them. I want to end it now, so I don't have to suffer, and my psychologists think that I am making it up to get attention. I try to get help, but no one listens. What do I do?

    Answer

If you are feeling suicidal and have made attempts in the past, you need help immediately, beyond a Web site, beyond email. If you are in treatment you need to stick with a no-harm contract and contact your therapist, as well as call suicide prevention - Call the NATIONAL SUICIDE HOTLINE 1-800-SUICIDE (1-800-784-2433) - or go to the hospital, they will do an emergency psychiatric evaluation and admit you to a hospital program or refer you to a partial hospital program. If you are not safe, have emergent or urgent feelings, include your parents and family, therapist and school teachers and counselors in getting you connected immediately.
