    Question

Every time I drink Coke or have chocolate I start getting really tired afterwards and have no energy. Almost immediately I start yawning and could fall asleep. I also get a lot of headaches. This also happens when I eat a lot of sugary foods. Is this normal?

    Answer

You may be experiencing reactive hypoglycemia which is a temporary drop in blood glucose. This is a very common condition. It would probably be better to eat some complex carbohydrates such as bread or a bagel.
