Itchy after thinning pubic hair out
Posted on: 11/29/2004
Question
I have not been able to find an answer to this problem anywhere online. I am having a whole lot of itching after shaving by vaginal area but -- here's the strange part -- I only used the razor to thin out/trim my pubic hair (it had started to get sort of too bushy and I figured it might be better than using scissors). The razor blade never really even touched my skin! Anyway, now I am miserable, with tons of itching where the hair is (not inside or anything) for the last 3-4 days. Why is this happening and how can I make it stop?
Answer
This is common. Something about tugging on the pubic hairs really irritates them and they start itching. You can try putting on some Hydro cortisone cream for a day or two and see if that helps the itching.
You have obviously figured out that scissors are a better choice for trimming hair!
