Question
I was diagnosed with chlamydia about a year and a half ago. I was giving antibiotics and I was retested to check that the infection had gone. I have been with my partner now for a year and when we have sex it itches and burns when I urinate for about 15 minutes after. Also a few times I have been to the toilet I have noticed i have bled a tiny amount. I am to ashamed to tell my partner about having chlamydia in the past do you think it will be better if i do?
Answer
Honesty is an important part of a relationship and I would think you would want your partner to know and that you would want to know that honesty brings you closer together, but that is my opinion. If you are experiencing symptoms, it is time to talk with a clinician.
