    Question

I have a secret. I don't want to tell anybody but I know I need help. I'm scared, of how they will react. It even scares me sometimes. I have been coping with it for a while but just recently I really scared myself and nearly ... I don't know, I don't even know if I should be telling you, I think I just wanted to tell someone.

    Answer

Whatever your secret is, it is better to tell someone you can trust, especially as it is so scary to you. It sounds like you really do want and need some help with this. Often times we think no one would understand and accept things about us that we keep secret. As a counselor who works with lots of people's "secrets" everyday, I can tell you people find out all the time that others can be very supportive and help you cope with any issue.
