    Question

I'm 18 and I've been with my boyfriend now for 2 years. Lately when we have sex more than once it begins to hurt and burn. It's been this way for about 2 months and hasn't stoped on its own so I'm starting to wonder whats wrong with me. I have a gynocologist and get Paps and STD checks annually since I have been with 2 other partners aside from him. Any idea whats going on?

    Answer

The first thing is you will need to do is to be checked for infections. Sometimes just an overgrowth of bacteria or yeast can cause burning.

If your doctor says you are fine then you may need more lubrication. There are a number of over the counter products -- KY Jelly, Astroglide and Replens are the ones most commonly used.
