Question
I am 14 and I am in 8th grade. My penis is still small and I don't have a lot of hair. I still haven't been able to ejaculate and I am getting worried. When should I be able to ejaculate and when will my penis grow?
Answer
As you probably know there is huge variation in development at your age. Some people look as though they are in their mid-twenties or older. This is particularly true with successful athletes at a young age, successful on a regional or national way. In the locker room this is especially evident. You should know that this variation is particularly hard for those who are at the slow end of development. Eventually it all evens out and by the early twenties we are all at our full development. In your case, at your age, you are actually right in the middle. Most enter puberty with the ability to ejaculate, etc. in 8th grade or freshman year. But there is great variation. So I would not worry at this point. By sophomore year I would have it checked it if you haven't ejaculated yet.
Also, you may be interested in knowing that it is difficult for people on both ends of the extreme: the slow developers and the rapid developers. Both have to deal with being outside of the "norm".
In your case though, we cannot say that you are outside of the norm yet. Try not to worry.
