    Question

My boyfriend often sells and uses drugs. I don't know how I can help him either. I want for him to be able to talk to me about anything and I don't want his drug life to be kept secret. How can I help him?

    Answer

Tell him that you are very worried and unhappy about his drug selling and using. However, the only person who can decide to do something about it is him. If he is keeping it secret he is most likely not ready to get help and quit his habit. If he will be open about it, there is help available with local drug programs in your community. He can get a name and number to call from a counselor at your school, his medical doctor, or by looking in the phone book for Narcotics Anonymous. You have to understand that there is nothing you can do to stop him if he wants to use drugs until he makes a decision to stop himself. You may need to end the relationship if his drug habit continues as it will negatively affect the quality of your relationship.
