    Question

I have OCD and lately I've been obsessing over whether or not I am pregnant. My period is late! I know very little about sex, and I've read all through your site. Here's the thing, I have never had sex, I have masturbated and entered my fingers into my vagina. The closest encounter I ever had with a male was when I was laying on the couch and he touched the top of my underwear (near where my jeans buckle). Please set my mind at ease. Please assure me that this is not a possible way for me to be pregnant.

    Answer

The best way to make sure you are not pregnant is not by waiting for an email but TAKE A HOME PREGNANCY TEST!!! These are the same that are used in doctors' offices and are over 99 percent accurate.

I doubt you are pregnant - but take the test to be sure. Sperm cannot penetrate clothing, but if there is genital contact or spillage of semen near the vagina, even if there is no penetration of the penis into the vagina, sperm can enter the vagina and you can become pregnant.

I STRONGLY advise that you go to your doctor and educate yourself more about your body and sexual health. If becoming pregnant is so concerning to you, make sure you use some sort of birth control BEFORE you plan to have intercourse. Use condoms to protect against STDs.
