Question
I have developed spider veins on my feet, which have progressively gotten worse, what can i do to help the pain and looks without surgery?
Answer
Spider veins and varicose veins are the result of excess pressure on the veins in the legs and feet. One simple thing you can do is avoid crossing your legs as this will definitely worsen your symptoms. You can also try elevating your feet whenever you sit or lay down.
You can also try compression stocking that are knee high, which you can get at orthopedic supply stores. They aren't cheap, but they do make your legs feel more comfortable and will prevent progression of the spider veins. If these measures don't help - see you doctor!
