    Question

    I have been going out with my girlfriend for seven months. I love her and I was sure she loved me. But I have just come back from 10 day holiday and she says shes now questioning her feelings because I've been away, but swears she loved me, but is now not sure. Did she?

    Answer

    Yes, I am sure she did love you. We all say what is true for us, but it changes. What a great person you must be that she is so honest with you. I hope you can stay friends and not be too saddened by this change in her feelings. The emotional side of relationships is sometimes the hardest. Keep talking to people and it will get easier.

    I hope the fact that you have shared many happy things in seven months is a memory you treasure. You get to take what you learned from this person and move to the next relationship, which will give you something else you need, and more treasured memories. You are lucky to have learned that love is not always forever - I hope it keeps you from moving too fast in the future!
