    Question

I had sex on Monday. He came in me and I am not on any birth control. I ran to the bathroom and peed and his sperm came out. What are my chances of being pregnant? How many days should I wait to take a pregnancy test? My periods are not consistent. Help me? What should I do? I have Graves? disease and I am just getting better. My doctor told me not to get pregnant.

    Answer

You can still become pregnant even if you void after intercourse. You should call your gynecologist or primary care physician immediately to obtain a prescription for the emergency contraception kit (called Plan B) or "the day after pill". You are able to effectively prevent pregnancy if you take these pills within 72 hours of unprotected intercourse. Taking these pills will not affect your Graves? disease. If your doctor told you that this is not a good time to become pregnant due to your disease state, then this would be a good option for you.
