    Question

How much food should I eat? I think I'm getting too fat and I can't control my eating anymore!

    Answer

Because each person's idea of "fat" is a little different, you really need to speak with your doctor before you go on a diet. This is particularly important for young women your age, as restricting your diet too much can cause problems with your bones, menstrual cycle, skin and important internal organs such as your heart and liver. Your doctor will be able to help you determine the amount of food you need, and can give you tips on developing healthy eating habits. If you are truly overweight, your doctor may also help you find programs for teens in your area with weight problems.
