    Question

I had strep throat last week and now I have these big bumps on the back of my tongue that hurt as if it's strep. I have taken all my penicillin and the infection is gone, but these bumps still hurt. What could it be? Could I possibly have burnt it?

    Answer

No, sometimes there is still some inflammation in the tongue and throat after a severe throat infection. Give it some time, it will calm down. If it doesn't, see your doctor again!
