I recently got my lip pierced about 4 days ago. I was wondering if there will be a scar if I remove it sometime in the future and if it will be major, should there be one? Also, how long should I wait till I can change my ring to a stud?
Answer
Yes, there will be a scar, but it will be small if the studio did a good job. You should ask the studio that did the piercing about when to change it -- usually it is 6 weeks, but you should follow their after-care instructions very carefully to prevent infection.
