    Question

I would like to ask about Artane. I take Artane but have hallucinations. Can you tell me more about this drug?

    Answer

Artane is a drug used in the U.S. for people with Parkinson's disease (a movement disorder). It can cause hallucinations as well as other side effects affecting the heart, gut, skin and brain. Certain drugs are called by different names in different countries, so I cannot tell you for sure that the drug I am telling you about is really the same drug you are asking about, since my references are really just for U.S. and Canadian medications.

Not knowing your medical history, I cannot tell you more about the drug.

The best person to talk to, is the doctor you are seeing, who is prescribing this medication. You should report any side effects of medications to you doctor -- for any medication you take!
