    Question

I had broken blood vessels on my face. I went to the doctor and she did some kind of lazer called a KTP. It took away the red spots but I now have white spots where she zapped me. It looks like I'm all tan except in a few spots. I tried using self tanner in those spots and even exfoliating around them but nothing is working. Please help.

    Answer

The best thing to do here is to call the doctor you saw and let her know of the white spot development. This might not be an uncommon side effect, and she will probably give you advice regarding treatment. Many patients are hesitant to call a doctor if they have a complications with a procedure, sometimes because they feel that they do not want to complain, or sometimes because they have lost confidence in that doctor. However, most doctors absolutely do want to hear back from the patient, and often will have a solution to the problem. Good luck!
