    Question

Can cysts on your ovaries cause your period not to come?

    Answer

No. Functional cysts form during the ovulatory period of your monthly cycle and resolve on their own. Functional cysts occur when the egg is ready to be released. They do not "cause menses to occur." Your monthly cyclical hormone levels cause you to have menses. If you do not ovulate, you may not have a menses that month.
