Question
I drink occasionally on the weekends and I just started taking Accutane. If I drink this weekend on one night, would it affect me in any way, since I just started taking Accutane? Should I not take the pill that one day and drink?
Answer
Alcohol consumption while taking Accutane can increase triglyceride levels. If you are having 1 or 2 beers occasionally on weekends, it is OK to take the Accutane. If you plan on more, skip the Accutane that day.
