Question
My boyfriend and I had sex for the first time yesterday at his house. We didn't use protection and I want to know if I can get pregnant from it. He pulled out before he ejaculated and I want to know if there is a chance I can get pregnant. I cannot tell my parents on account of I will get kicked out of my house and my parents will kill him. We are underage too. What do I do?
Answer
You can use emergency contraception, which is available from your doctor or pharmacy, up to 72 hours after the unprotected intercourse. If it is too late for that, you can wait until the day your period should start and try a home pregnancy test. You can also go to Planned Parenthood to have a pregnancy test and start on a reliable method of birth control.
I am sorry that your first experience carried the risk of pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections with it -- very stressful.
