Question
I'm 13 and I still happen to pee my bed. It's not really often, like once every two or three weeks, but it won't go away definitely. To what can it be due? Is there a way to stop it for good?
Answer
Some teenagers can have nocturnal enuresis (urinary accidents at night) even if they are perfectly healthy. Some people are unable to tell when they have a full bladder when they are sleeping. Usually as you get older, the sensation is easier to recognize and most people grow out of bed wetting. Talk to your doctor. If there is any pain with urination, discharge, constipation, or anything else, you should see your doctor. She may recommend behavioral therapy, alarms or medications for bed wetting.
