Hi, I really like this boy and I think he likes me back but I am really shy when it comes to boys -- I've never had a boyfriend. But the biggest problem is that his older brother went out with my sister my sister didn't like him but he did.
Is it a good idea to go out with him if he asks me?

Dear Teen: It is a good idea to go out with him if that is what you both want to do and it is certainly a way to get to know him better and see how he treats you. If a boy likes you he generally is paying a lot of attention to you, interested in getting to know you, and treats you with a lot of respect. He probably will not let the experience of his older brother stop him if he wants to see you. Take your time and get to know him so you don't have to guess at whether he likes you or not.
