    Question

What are the short-term effects for using ecstasy?

    Answer

It takes about 30 - 45 minutes before you feel the effects, which include mild hallucinations, increased heart rate, blood pressure and body temperature; muscle tension; involuntary tooth clenching; nausea; blurred vision; and sweating. There may be an overall feel-good sensation, a sense of bonding with others, a lack of anxiety or fear, and heightened pleasure from touching and itntimacy. For males, there can be delayed ejaculation. The effects last three to six hours, but in the days following, a user can experience depression, memory loss, and insomnia.
