    Question

Is it safe going swimming after getting a tattoo done?

    Answer

It is recommended that you do not swim (or expose your tattoo to sunlight, by the way) for 4-6 weeks after getting a tattoo for several reasons:
    1. Germs -- especially in public water. It would be better to wait until the tattoo is healed.
    2. The color will fade until it is sealed.
