    Question

Can you have sex before your period and NOT get pregnant?

    Answer

I am not sure I understand the question. If you have not started having periods at all, in theory, you cannot get pregnant - periods are the sign that you are releasing eggs from your ovaries and are ready to get pregnant. If you mean, if you have sex between your periods, can you get pregnant, the answer is YES! You can get pregnant any time if you are not using a reliable method of birth control, and in fact, you can also get a sexually transmitted infection if you are not using condoms. Please be careful and talk to an adult you trust (or go to Planned Parenthood) about your options.
