Question
Me and my girlfriend of 10 months just recently broke up and I am totally devastated by it. I don't know what to do becuase she still loves me and we are sexually active. Thats another reason why I'm here, I have a bump kinda like a pimple on the middle of my shaft and I popped it once and puss came out then blood. and I don't know what to do about it. But getting back to my girlfriend we are very close and we live 5 minutes away from each other. I love her still but I felt like maybe she ditched me to go party and do stuff with other guys. Should I be worried about her becuase she is hanging out with her boyfriend before me this weekend. And I just don't know what to do, she says we need a break and I don't think I can wait but I love her, I really do. But I feel her feelings have changed.
Answer
I am sorry about you and your girlfriend, but good job listening to her feelings and giving her the "break" she wants. It does sound like she is trying to figure out what her feelings for you are, and being sexually involved makes it much harder. It may be that you and she will end up friends, and if that makes you feel really bad, find a counselor or another adult to talk to -- sometimes moving on brings much better things, it is just sad and lonely for a little while.
Now, about the bump -- we cannot diagnose "bumps," they have to be seen. If you and she were each other's first sexual partners I would assume it is a pimple and if you quit messing with it, it will go away. If either one of you had sex with anyone else, I would suggest a long chat and some sexually transmitted infection testing with your doctor -- to be sure you move forward with no infections to share.
Finally, a lecture. Please use a reliable method of birth control and condoms with any and all sexual partners in the future -- preotect yourself and the people you love. Good luck!
