    Question

Is it necessary to tell your doctor everything when at an exam? Like, maybe an unwanted sexual encounter, or can that just be looked at as if it were... normal in a sense? I guess I'm just embarrased to say that out loud.

    Answer

Please, take a deep breath and tell your doctor everything. An unwanted sexual encounter can be a reason to check for sexually transmitted infections or pregnacy, as well as some emotional need for support. Be honest and open -- for yourself -- you are worth it!
