    Question

Hi, I am 20 years old and I have itching and flaking around my testicles for the most part, but I have flaking on the shaft of my penis as well. The skin on my testicles is red and the irritations comes and goes. There are scabs also on my testicles some of the flakiness seems to be going away but slowly, can you help me?

    Answer

In general it is necessary to see a health care provider with a specific complaint. Itching and rash with open areas (scabs) can represent a number of problems. In order to responsibly assess a problem like this we need to know if you are sexually active and how recently, how long have you had the problem, is there pain, does it hurt when you sit down, what kind of work do you do? More to the point it is important to see a skin problem to diagnosis it. As much as we would like to help I would not be serving you well by offering advice, please, seek medical attention.
