    Question

I had an operation done for water accumulated in one of my testicles. After this operation, the said testicle started shrinking and in now no longer there. Will having only one testicle affect my sex-life? Also, before the operation, my height was much more than the average for my peer group. I feel that I stopped growing in height after I lost the testicle(probably, due to a hormonal imbalance). Are my doubts regarding my height correct?

    Answer

One testicle (assuming it is normal) will provide sufficient hormones and a normal sexual function. Your height should not have been affected by this unfortunate condition. If you have continued concerns, you may wish to see your personal physician. A blood testosterone test could be performed to confirm a normal male sexual hormone state.
