    Question

I have been having sex with my boyfriend for 4 years now, and we have never had any problems. However, for the last 6 months or so I have been having severe vaginal irritation. My vagina greatly swells after sex (which is sometimes very painful) and I sometimes get the small itchy bumps that seem to go away if left alone. I've also suffered from 2-3 uti's during this period. I?ve been to the doctor several times and they always prescribe an antibiotic. The symptoms go away while I'm on the medication but quickly return once I stop taking it. What do it do? Please help!

    Answer

I think you need to let your doctor know you are still having problem. Obviously she/he sees something there that needs to be treated (and responds to treatment) but is not staying better. She/he needs to know what is happening with your body.
