    Question

I am looking for an AA group for teens for my son to attend when we bring him home from boarding school. The group he attnds must be serious. Before he left for boarding school he attended an AA meeting in RWC and would drink afterwards. Can ou help me with information on different teen groups?

    Answer

AA groups for Teens are all intended to be a serious way to support non-using of alcohol and other drugs. If your son drinks afterwards he may need more intensive treatment, such as at least a month long drug program where there is education and training daily. He may be telling you he is not ready to stop drinking for which you may need an intervention specialist to work with him and the family. Call the Alcoholics Anonymous number for you county that is listed in the phone book for help in locating AA groups and programs.
