Question
I am 16 and haven't had sex in about six months, and lately I have been experiencing a thick, rubbery sticky(not really an odorous) vaginal discharge, it is a yellow mucus like discharge and inside of my vagina is kind of flaky. I have used a douche to attempt at getting rid of it but it comes back. What could this possible be
Answer
Your vaginal discharge could be due to a number of things. First of all it could be perfectly normal. Your vaginal discharge changes in color and thickness depending on how far away you are from your period. It is perfectly normal for it to be thick and somewhat sticky without an odor during 10-12 days after your period. This discharge, however, may also be abnormal. It may be a sign that you have a yeast infection or bacterial overgrowth. If it does not go away, you should see a physician so that they can see if you have any type of infection. Douching will not help with the discharge, it can only make it worse.
