    Question

Hi, I have a question about my hymen. I recently checked to see if my hymen is intact by using a mirror. I wasn't sure because i had done gymnastics all of my childhood, and because I was fingered before. In comparison to an anatomical picture i found online, it seemed to be intact, with the lower part of it covered by a flap of tissue. But i'm not sure if this tissue is too thick, because i can't imagine tearing such a thick tissue when i eventually lose my virginity in the near future. Because I'm a minor, I don't know how to go about asking a gynecologist without telling my mom any information. What should I do?

    Answer

There are Planned Parenthood Clinics everyone. Check online for one near you and make an appointment. They will not bill insurance or talk to your parents. The other option is to call your doctor's office and ask if you can be seen without your parent knowing or any billing to your insurance. Some states protect teens for reproductive care.
