Question
So my boyfriend for the past two months now has been complaining of pain at the tip of his penis. There are no bumps or strange discharge. He was tested for gonorrhea and chlamydia. He tested negative for both. They gave him an antibiotic. It didn't work; they gave him something stronger, that hasn't worked. I myself went to the doctor shortly after him. I have an odd odor and slight discharge. And I have a rash on my upper arms. It's almost unnoticeable. Turns red after a shower. I looked up different rashes, scabies turn red; but i'm not sure if that's what it is. My doctor ran a bunch of tests on me and ended up giving me an antibiotic for a yeast infection. She said that I am infested with bacteria and she thought it could have been the STD Trichomoniasis. But she couldn't find the bacteria. She said my cervix, i believe, was abnormal red with yellow bubbles on the outside. As of now, it's a yeast infection. I made sure to get my blood work done. Could this just be a bad bacterial infection that went for too long, that my boyfriend could have gotten from me? I have no symptoms of pain like he does. Or do our symptoms match with other things? We've been very upset about this and could use some advice. I don't get my results back for another week. please help! thanks

Trichomoniasis is a pretty mild STD. It does cause an odor and some of the symptoms you and your boyfriend are having. If your doctor thought that?s what you had she is probably right. It should clear up with the antibiotics. It doesn't really cause much else. Scabies are more itchy then anything else. The rash on your arm does not sound like scabies. Good luck.
