    Question

hello- I'm 16, I have been having my period since I was 13. I'm sexually active and I have been for about a year now, but I have only slept with one guy. For about 5 or 6 months now I have had a discharge with a yellowish tint and it has a little bit of an odor. I have read that it could be an infection but I don't know where I could've gotten an infection from. Is this nothing or is there a chance that something might be wrong?

    Answer

If you have been sexually active for a year it is time to get a pap test and start a reliable method of birth control, and while you are there, ask the doctor to run a test or two for the discharge, which could be a sexually transmitted infection. You did not mention where you live, but there are Planned Parenthood clinics everywhere!
