    Question

my balls itch after having a bath, i wear cotton boxers, the skin down there is fine, not too dry not too moist, i'm not having sex so whats the problem? please help cuz it really itches

    Answer

Hi, Thanks for contacting us. The most common cause of itchiness in that area is a simple fungal infection. It responds to a medicine you should be able to buy in the pharmacy. The chemical name is "miconazole" 2% cream. Use 2-3 times a day. It may take 2-3 weeks for this to go away completely. You should judge it is working in about a week however or even less. If it does not work then you should see a doctor about other causes. Fungus live on us and they like a warm, dark, moist environment. The cotton boxers are very good and least likely to contribute to this. However the weather in Nigeria tends to be moist and quite warm I believe, so this could have contributed a fair amount. It is important you try to wash every day or so if possible to prevent this from recurring. Especially wash right after a work out or exercise. Hope this helps.
