Question
hi, after having sex my inner labia are occasionally swollen. this normally occurs after he has gone down on me. not when we have "normal" intercourse. sometimes he is a little rough on my sensitive parts. last time he went down on me he was rough and the next morning i noticed my inner labia had discoloration. one was dark purplish the other was kinda purple. after a day its fading. i recently (3 weeks ago, and i haven't and he hasn't had any new partners since then) had a sti test. i didnt have the chlamydia, gonorrhea or syphilis. thats all they tested for. i was wondering if the discoloration was from blood in the labia like a hickey? or if i should be worried. thanks

It sounds like bruising from the roughness - which I can't say you should not worry about - it must hurt. Please be clear with your partner what you like and do not like - and remember to see a doctor if you are concerned.
